Design and Amenities

The proposed living accommodations have been designed as 5 One-bedroom units with one bath, 3 two-bedroom units with 1 bathroom, 40 three-bedroom and 2 four-bedroom units with 2 bathrooms in a ranch style building including attached garages.  The units feature an enhanced lighting package, including various forms of task lighting in the kitchen and bathroom ceilings, and lighting under the cabinets. The living spaces offer an open floor plan, maximizing accessibility and amount of livable space for the residents. Universal Design principles were incorporated into the development, and the entire development will be fully visitable.

Additional living unit (convenience and safety) upgrades include:

Energy Star appliances – refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave (mounted under a cabinet), garbage disposal

6-panel solid core interior doors

Hard-wired carbon monoxide detectors

The proposed development will include numerous safety features:

Exterior, motion-sensor activated lighting at each unit

180-degree viewer and deadbolts in each front door

Double-paned, dual locking windows

Garage door openers with automatic interior lighting in each garage of the ranch units

Strategically placed, photo cell activated site lighting

Landscaping will minimize obstructions of views at entrances and garage doors

On-going coordination with local sheriff or police department to develop and implement a safety/block-watch program

Each living unit will feature a laundry room with washer/dryer hookup

Each living unit will incorporate numerous storage areas:

Attached garages with additional square footage and three rows of storage shelving at rear of garage

Shelving in laundry rooms located above washer and dryer

Closets will be provided in the master bedroom, generous closet space in the second bedroom, coat closet and linen closet

Ample parking:

Each of the ranch units has an attached garage, with room for an additional car in the driveway

Several overflow parking areas are interspersed throughout the site

Ten or more additional parking spaces are located by community building
